Ben is a producer, director, photographer and creative currently based in Portland, Oregon.
He also owns Snap Yourself PDX, part of the Snap Yourself company, a unique and interactive photo booth experience.
An accomplished leader, facilitator and storyteller who relentlessly pursues collaboration and team success. He uses lenses to tell his stories and bases his work on two philosophies; 1) ubuntu and 2) kaizen.
UBUNTU: I am, because we are. Ubuntu is about wanting everyone to have success, that one person's success does not come before the success of the whole.
KAIZEN: The practice of continuous improvement.
For two years Ben was in-house creative producer and director of all film, video and photo projects at a large national brewery. Ben built the video department from scratch where he created & directed all of the video projects as well as shot studio, event, and brand photography. Additionally, he helped guide the marketing team through creative and strategic plans that incorporate engaging visual content. His work has been featured in USA Today, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Food & Wine Magazine, Thrillist, Huffington Post, Esquire, Fast Company, AdWeek, Wet Pixel, Time, Eater, Maxim, Paste Magazine, Grub Street, the Oregonian, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Los Angeles Times.
Ben continues to work with an abundance of change-makers who are creating tools, resources, programs and other initiatives that will make a differences in the world today and for years to come. He helps them tell their stories and reach new audiences.
Previously, Ben spent nine months in Malawi, Africa directing and producing his first documentary currently in post-production. Ben got his start in tv & video production as an actor before transitioning to include directing and producing. He’s appeared in a number of national commercials.
Ben’s an avid sports nut, live music junkie, underwater explorer and maker of a killer egg sandwich.
He was also an award-winning collegiate mascot.
