HASHTAG: A collaboration with Grace Love.

Hashtag is a video project inspired by the spoken word piece of recording artist Grace Love. I met Grace while shooting for the Waterfront Blues Fest. She was performing with her band at the time, Grace Love & The True Loves, and was captivated by her presence and powerful command of her talent. I knew that I needed to collaborate with her.

After we talked about a few ideas she shared a powerful spoken word piece with me called Hashtag. I couldn't get it out of my head and knew I needed to make this a video. At about the same time I was asked by TedX Portland to create a video piece for the 2017 Tedx Portland conference. It was a perfect place to debut the video.

Thanks to tremendous support from Pro Photo Supply & Splash Worldwide, we pulled together a crew of about 9 people and pulled together to get the shoot done in one day!

We received a tremendous amount of love and support from people who've seen the video, and we're in progress of releasing some new collaborations together soon!

#Hashtag is about the responsibility artists take on in an effort to bring knowledge, compassion and action to issues that can only be solved through unity.
